As Director of Tax and Business Services, Rich specializes in preparing and reviewing complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations. He partners with management on strategic tax planning, identifying opportunities to minimize liabilities and providing clear, actionable recommendations. He ensures financial accuracy by reviewing and analyzing bookkeeping records, preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries in accordance with GAAP, and assisting with audit preparation and representation. In addition, Rich conducts research on a wide range of tax matters, primarily federal individual issues, but also trust, corporate, pass-through, tax-exempt, and state matters providing well-supported conclusions and guidance.
Rich joined the firm in October 2025. He is a seasoned accounting and tax professional with over 30 years of experience in public accounting, corporate finance, and executive leadership. Richard holds an MBA in Financial Planning from California Lutheran University and a B.S. in Accounting from St. John Fisher College. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds advanced credentials including ABV, CFF, PFS, CEPA, and ChSNC, reflecting his expertise in business valuation, financial forensics, exit planning, and special needs financial planning.
