Richard P. Burchill, CPA serves as Director of Tax and Business Services, counseling individuals and closely held businesses on complex federal and multistate tax compliance and strategic tax planning. His work centers on resolving technically challenging matters and synthesizing them into clear, well supported guidance that helps clients manage risk, improve decision making, and navigate increasingly complex regulatory environments. He regularly advises on individual, trust, partnership, corporate, and exempt organization matters and provides senior level direction over financial reporting processes to support accuracy, consistency, and anticipatory tax strategy aligned with long term planning objectives.

Richard works within multidisciplinary planning teams to serve business owners and multigenerational families on planning matters that intersect tax strategy, business valuation considerations, and long-term financial outcomes. He frequently supports business owners preparing for ownership transitions or liquidity events and advises families navigating complex planning needs, including those involving dependents with special needs. His approach emphasizes coordination across planning teams and thoughtful structuring to support both financial objectives and family priorities.

Richard joined the firm in October 2025 and brings more than 30 years of experience spanning public accounting, corporate finance, and executive leadership. He holds an MBA in Financial Planning from California Lutheran University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. John Fisher College. In addition to his CPA license, Richard holds advanced credentials issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, including Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS).
